A little about us…

The Life & Executive Benefits division of Vanbridge was originally founded in 1995 as an investment advisory, financial planning, and insurance consulting firm that catered to retail and institutional clients as well as other advisors. As the consulting business grew, we noticed that there was a lack of knowledge and professionalism in insurance consulting, specifically in the RIA and investment advisory space. The opportunity as we saw it, was so significant that we decided to go “all-in” and sell 100% of the investment businesses by 2009 and focus solely on insurance and executive benefit advisory.

The goal of the streamlined company was to become the preeminent insurance and executive benefits consulting firm.

Vanbridge, founded by Phil Moyles, focused on the convergence of the insurance industry and capital markets allowing Alternative Asset Managers to tap into the best aspects of both. In 2015, Vanbridge along with its investors, KKR, A&M Capital and VJ Dowling, acquired the Life & Executive Benefits firm and in 2018, Vanbridge was acquired by EPIC.

Today, we are a unique and innovative risk management, executive and employee benefits insurance brokerage and consulting firm with offices and leadership across the country. EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, founded in 2007, has a depth of industry expertise across key lines of insurance, including risk management, property and casualty, benefits, unique specialty program insurance and private client services.
